I'm a Beta Tester!

I have always thought that it would be cool to be a beta tester. It's been an allusive activity for me. I thought you had to be in some geek club or nerd fraternity to beta test new software or hardware. I now know that this is not the case.

Through my favorite magazine Computer Music Magazine I found this new software called Ohm Studio. I was messing around on facebook when I came across this news clip in my feed about the new software, I clicked it and BAM there it was "Do you want to be a beta tester?" . I quickly filled out the application. As I filled out each box on the form I realized that I was actually very qualified to do this. I wasn't faking it or lying about my skills to get this job. The soon offered the job to me and so here I am.

Here is a link to the Ohm Studio website. More info as it comes!

Ohm Studio!

This is a new website that offers web collaborative recording. I can't wait to try it out! As you can see from this video the interface is very intuitive. The automatic sync feature is very quick. This will maximize production times.

PI Day!

It's to bad I stink at math or I might try something like this. To help celebrate PI day 3.14 (the date today) I'm posting this video that puts PI to music.

Someone is Profiting...

To further illustrate the fact that the wealthy are profiting while the working class and poor are struggling.

"The super-wealthy were unaffected by an international recession with the combined net worth of the world's billionaires actually increasing twenty-five percent to $4.5 trillion, and their average net worth growing to $3.7 billion from $3.5 billion."

And Now for Something Completly Different

I really like this song. I'm singing along as I type this. I think it's really awesome that someone can write such great lyrics in a language that is not their native tongue.

We Don't Need No Education!

So after we rob the poor to give to the rich we can make sure that the poor never rise up by cutting the funding for education.

"Corbett’s plan will cut basic education by almost $550-million, a 10 percent reduction from the current year; and cut another $650-million from higher education.

Four state universities, including Temple University and Lincoln University, will lose more than 50 percent of their state funding. The state system of higher education, which includes the state universities, will also see its funding cut in half."

How does this make any sense?!?!

Now we don't want to tax the gas company.

"... he has no justification for cutting $1 billion from colleges and public schools while Pennsylvania remains the only big gas-drilling state without a severance tax on natural gas.

Nobody really expected Mr. Corbett to tax the industry that so generously funded his campaign.

Who is Corbett really supporting? The people or the money that got him elected? It's not the people who elect candidates it's campaign contribution.

Put your state congressman and congresswoman to work! Call and tell them this is unacceptable!

Rob the Poor to Give to the Rich!

After ten years of tax cuts for the ultra rich and mega corporations, two wars (one of them being illegal and unfounded) and bailouts for the financial and auto sectors. Here we are. Politicians are cutting programs that benefit those most in need while protecting the wealthiest in our country.

This cartoon does a good job of expressing this.

I wish it was that easy to blame the GOP and make the Dem's out to be heroes. At this point I'm not sure who is worse. The democrats spineless governing is just as bad as the reckless policies the GOP continues to pursue.

"Even on Wall Street, the land of six- and seven-figure incomes, jaws dropped at the news on Tuesday: After all that federal aid, a resurgent Goldman Sachs is on course to dole out bonuses that could rival the record paydays of the heady bull-market years."

Tax payer bailout and record profits. How does this happen?!?!?!

Not everyone is suffering during this recession. Some even MADE money from the losses.

So let's just keep protecting those who want to buy a new yacht and screwing those who need money for their prescriptions that cost $400 each.

Let's not negotiate with drug companies to lower the cost of prescriptions (it's cool for Canadians to negotiate with drug companies but not Americans). We will never raise taxes on that poor guy who needs his new yacht. Why in the world would we do this? Instead lets kill medicaid and social security! Screw those poor folks. They aren't as important as the ultra rich. That's what they're really saying. Right? The poor and sick are less important then the rich and powerful.

I don't understand how people can justify this kind of reasoning. It's disgusting!

I don't have time tonight to start talking about the working poor. UGH!
